Note from Bob
This week begins with a warm roll and a chair beneath a porch roof. Slow down long enough to notice what has arrived, then use the quiet to begin the next useful thing.
Tranquillity leaves room for a day that changes course. Rain delays a walk. A message shifts a morning. Meet both without rushing past them. Notice what is in front of you, let the small trouble pass, and use the time that opens. A calm mind can see the next useful act.
Lyme disease was not imagined. Bad tests, narrow case definitions, official caution, insurance pressure, secrecy, and ridicule made it smaller inside the public record.
Lyme disease is real, yet the public count often made it look small. This essay shows how weak tests, tight case rules, pressure from insurers, secrecy, and mockery shut sick people out. We bring it back because a bad count can close the file while the patient stays ill.
All the good things are coming to me right now!
