EPUB License and Refund Policy

Effective August 13, 2026

Personal-use license, secure delivery, download limits, and refund rules for Outside In Print EPUBs.

This policy applies to EPUBs purchased directly from Outside In Print. Kindle editions purchased through Amazon remain subject to Amazon’s terms.

Availability and delivery

Direct EPUB checkout is limited to U.S. customers in the first storefront release.

After Square confirms completed payment, Outside In Print sends a secure download link to the email address used at checkout. The link expires 14 days after issuance and permits up to five successful downloads. Contact support@outsideinprint.org with the Square order number if the message does not arrive. Do not send card information.

Personal-use license

The purchase grants the customer a nonexclusive, nontransferable license to read the EPUB for personal use. After downloading it, the customer may keep the file permanently and make reasonable personal backup copies.

The customer may not redistribute, publicly post, upload, lend through an unauthorized service, sell, sublicense, share access to, remove rights notices from, or create a competing commercial edition from the EPUB. Copyright and all rights not expressly granted remain with the applicable rights holder.

Device compatibility

The customer is responsible for using software or a reading device that supports standard EPUB files. Outside In Print will provide reasonable help with delivery and file integrity but cannot guarantee compatibility with every device, app, conversion service, or third-party account.

Refunds

Outside In Print will refund:

  • a duplicate or unauthorized charge;
  • a corrupt or materially defective file that Outside In Print cannot replace;
  • a delivery failure that Outside In Print cannot resolve; or
  • an undownloaded EPUB when the request is made within 14 days after purchase.

A refund normally is not available after a valid file has been downloaded unless the file is defective, the charge was duplicate or unauthorized, or applicable law requires otherwise. A refund revokes the affected download link and ends the license to retain or use the refunded copy.

Approved refunds return to the original payment method. Square, the card network, and the customer’s financial institution control final posting time.
